Our Gymnast

Here's our little gymnast. The girl who does 360 jump spins off the chair, scales 10 foot high walls, jumps off anything high off the ground, and does full flips on the couch- in the air, no hands. Below is a video of Ruthie's first Candy Cane Classic, and her 2nd Junior Olympics.

Here's to all the flipping, jumping, spinning, bouncing, climbing, and any other movement produced by our daughter day after day, all of which are subjected to "Mommy, Daddy, watch this!" Here's to our little gymnast.

Everything Butt...

I am ashamed at the length of time it has been since my last post. But, as the saying goes, "Better late than never." Right? Besides, I'm sure I"m not the first to have eight months of writer's block. Just so you know, the kids are great! More specifics will come with future blogs (which I promise not to be eight months from now...).

To segue back in, though, I'd like to do so with a bit of humor. Thanks to our funny man, Gabe, you get a nice laugh and we get a nice wedding video!

2010 Winter Olympics- Day 1

Here's Ruthie practicing her jumps in sync with the mogul skiers. Unfortunately, we can't get both jumping on camera at the same time but, if you know moguls, you'll get it.

P.S. Don't let the princess dress fool you. Under that girly exterior, our daughter is hardcore!

Another First Haircut

Nope, Gabe did not get two first haircuts. Ruthie finally got her first- at three years and eight months old. With dry hair, her hair is about 2-3 inches shorter than when wet, so it just doesn't look super long. But, I promised the hairdresser that I wouldn't wait that long before bringing her in for haircut number two!

First Haircut

At 19 months it was time for Gabe's first haircut. He was getting enough boogies caught in his hair and enough comments beginning with "She..." It was time.

Little Artist

If you are wondering what's in this picture, ask no more. Ruthie made it very clear what each part of the picture is and, as soon as you read this, I'm sure you, too, will say, "That is exactly what it is!"

In the middle is the princess. She is flying her kite in the sky. On the ground, she is holding a pear. And, next to her is, of course, a seal playing with a ball.

You see it now, don't you!

"That is exactly what it is!!"

Ruthie, you continue to amaze us with all the incredible talents you exhibit at such a young age.

Just Another Ski Day

Okay, it's not really "JUST" another ski day. Today was Ruthie's very first ski lesson. She spent half the day in ski school learning to go up the magic carpet by herself, to stand on her skis, to get herself down the mountain, and to wedge herself to a stop. This video is a testament to the fact that Ruthie did indeed learn some things. In fact, it's very possible that by the time I ever get back on the slopes, Ruthie will be able to out-ski me!
